Jake Dickson, owner and founder of Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, is passionate about meat. His company, Dickson’s Farmstand, is a purveyor of artisanal meat and meat products sourced from local farms, hand-picked because of their commitment to producing natural, humanely-raised, high-quality and distinctive meat products. Their shop is located in NYC’s Chelsea Market. Jake has worked on a number of farms, in a butcher shop, and also at a small slaughterhouse in Albany, NY. He still works with this processor for most of the meat he sells at Dickson’s. The ultimate goal with Dickson’s is to introduce consumers in NYC to the small scale, environmentally conscientious farmers producing healthy, delicious, artisanal meats in New York State. Dickson’s pates are made with meat from farmers who care about the animals and the land on which they are raised.
